Join our sommeliers for an informal wine tasting. Topics are different weekly and three great wines are selected, whether it’s a Cabernet 101 or what’s happening in the Rhone. There will always be a great wine discussion and tasting! A perfect opportunity to discuss with the sommelier what wine you should bring to your next event!

Led by one of our chefs, this 45 minute interactive culinary activity is largely based on the season. Guests will be welcomed into a private area where the cooking demonstration will take place and the chef will lead guests through the preparation of a plate and discuss what flavours complement each other; once the dish is prepared, a sampling will be provided. Guests will have an opportunity to ask their culinary questions and get a broader knowledge of Langdon Hall’s cooking philosophies and influences.
This experience requires 14 days advanced notice.

At Langdon Hall, there is a natural focus on gardens. Upon your visit, you’ll notice the calming ambiance, fresh aromas, and vivid beauty that our impressive gardens provide. Our vegetable gardens are perfected under the close eye of our Header Gardener, Mario Muniz.
Join Mario for a multi-sensory Vegetable Garden Tour and enjoy a fun and informative afternoon under the sun, exploring the gorgeous setting of our Olmsted gardens, or book a Garden & History Tour and discover a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s.

All overnight guests are welcome to enjoy the full amenities of Langdon Hall, which include the comfortable main house sitting rooms, conservatories, and billiard and games room; the outdoor pool (open from Victoria Day – Thanksgiving), tennis court and croquet lawn; 12km of walking trails; courtesy sports equipment including bicycles; whirlpool and sauna facilities at the Spa; indoor exercise room; and Langdon Hall’s famed vegetable and flower gardens.

Discover the ancient and noble art of archery. Our nationally certified coaches will come on-site to Langdon Hall and take you through the rudiments and principles of bowmanship and have you hitting the bull’s-eye in no time.
Continuous activity, usually 60 to 90 minutes with each participant shooting every second round — so half the group is waiting half of the shooting time.
1 – 4 participants & 1 instructor $250-300.00 plus service & HST.
For larger groups, we can arrange “Drop In” shooting – shooting opportunity is available for participants to “drop in” and try shooting a few arrows — 2 to 3 hour opportunity to shoot, but participants “drop in and out ” for a few shots. They can “drop in” multiple times depending on the demand of the group.
Billiards & Other Games
Enjoy a friendly game of pool against friends or family while enjoying drinks from our Wilks’ Bar. Venture into our Game Room located on the second floor of the Main House to challenge your opponent to a game of your choice – choose from chess, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and more. Books also available for a bit of light reading in your guest room room or in common spaces.
CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE - Offers a range of cardio-vascular machines as well as free-weight equipment. A personal trainer or yoga teacher can be arranged in advance.
Explore The Gallery along the main level of the Cloister building or within our Main Dining Room, where work from our current featured artist is displayed. Art exhibits rotate every four to six months. Explore our current featured artist.
The outdoor heated salt water pool is open from dawn to dusk from mid-May to mid-October. The pool and lounge area is available to overnight guests. Refreshments and a light menu is available at the pool area on sunny days.
Spa & Gift Boutique
A morning or afternoon at the Spa can provide the perfect relaxation. Guest can choose from a variety of treatments and enjoy the amenities, including use of the co-ed sauna, steam room and whirlpool at their leisure.
Enjoy a leisurely game of croquet on our Cloister croquet lawn. Equipment and instructions for game play stored at the bottom of the stairs near the Croquet lawn. Our tennis courts are also available for a leisure game or for practice. Equipment is provided at the front desk on a first come, first served basis or bring your own.
Throughout the property there are 12 kilometres of woodland trails to explore on foot, by bike, or by snowshoes in the winter months. For our overnight guests to use, mountain bikes (4) are available to discover the trails (available on a first come, first served basis). Trail maps can be found in each of the guest rooms or at the reception desk.
Fulfill your dreams and go soaring in a custom-made glider! Head to the town of Rockton to join one of the SOSA Gliding Club pilots in this unique experience, and even get the chance to pilot the glider! This is a seasonal activity.
A memorable hot air balloon ride can be arranged through Skyward Balloons in the Kitchener area. Flying twice a day, seven days a week. Sunrise or Sunset options only, available seasonally.
Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory
Located less than 20 minutes from Langdon Hall, the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory offers a unique nature experience to families and adults alike. Walk amongst hundreds of free flying butterflies and learn about their environment and local conservation efforts.
Fishing & Learning to Fly Fish
Learn the art of fly fishing in a pristine trout pond, where guaranteed, there are lots of fish! Instruction is performed by seasoned professional guides and participants will learn to cast, land fish, different fly types and why and when to use them along with safety on the water.
Escorted Hike in Carolinian Canada
There are many choices for a two hour, five kilometre walk in the forested area of Langdon Hall. A favourite is a walk directly from Langdon Hall along the Grand Alee where one would arrive in years gone by via horse and carriage. The trees that line Grand Alee, Carolina Populars, some still standing, enhanced the experience of arrival. You will retrace your steps from the original gates via “Deer Run” and “Maple Lane” to Langdon Hall. A pair of walking shoes is about all we need. The pace is moderate and designed to explore this special part of Ontario, its trees, plants, history and geology.
The guide, Greg Vincent, is a long time hike leader for the Bruce Trail and Grand Valley Trails Associations. Escort fee is $189.00 for up to 3 hours.

Horseback Riding Lessons
Located 20 minutes from Langdon Hall, Irish Creek Stables has been providing excellence in riding instruction and horsemanship for over 40 years. Learn the basics of riding or practice your current skills in their beautiful bright indoor arena or large outdoor sand ring. Lessons occur for 1.5 hours for maximum 2-4 people. Advance booking is required with one week’s notice and lessons are subject to availability.

Head out to the show for an afternoon at one of three nearby locations. Enjoy a live performance in Cambridge at Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge, or nearby in Waterloo at St. Jacobs Country Playhouse or St. Jacobs Schoolhouse Theatre. Wake up the Wild – African Lion Safari
The African Lion Safari, located 25 minutes from Langdon Hall, offers a behind the scenes experience with a privately guided morning tour to witness a pride of lions at their most active time of day, come within a metre of the endangered rhino, zebra and ostrich, as well as have the opportunity to hand feed Canada’s largest herd of giraffe. This Ontario Signature Experience is not available anywhere else in Canada. This experience is offered June through September and begins at 8:30a.m.
Water Skiing on Puslinch Lake
McClintock’s offers recreational skiing for all ages with Canada’s top instructors. Offering beginner through competitive slalom, trick, jump and wakeboard.
