Timelines
We offer two different sets of times to enjoy your celebrations
at Langdon Hall. For an early day social function we
offer the hours of 11:00am to 4:00pm. For evening social
functions, we offer the hours between 5:00pm to 11:00pm.
For Orchard Room weddings, should you wish to organize
a later time than 11:00pm, please discuss with Catering
Department the options that may be available to you.
Decorations
As you can appreciate, in order to keep Langdon Hall
looking its very best for all our guests, we do not
permit any decorating, with the exception of flower
arrangements and candles, to be done in the function
rooms, on the grounds or in the Main House. The hotel
prohibits any items to be fastened to walls or floors
with tape, tacks, pushpins, nails, etc.
Unless authorized in writing, no furniture, plants,
carpeting may be rearranged throughout the house or
private function rooms. Any damages of the above items
will be the responsibility of the wedding party and
may be charged to the Master Account unless otherwise
settled.
Music
With the exception of exclusive weddings, amplified
music, DJ or bands will be subject to Langdon Hall’s
discretion. We do highly recommend jazz trios, quartets,
harpists or pianists to enhance your function.
For those who wish to have live music as part of their
function, SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music
Publishers of Canada) provides licenses for the public
performance of the music contained in it’s repertoire
in accordance with rights provided under the COPYRIGHT
ACT R.S.C. 1985. c. C-42, as amended. Please visit www.socan.ca

The fee for each event where live music if performed
is as follows;
Number of Guests With Dancing Without Dancing
1-100 $41.13 + 13% HST $20.56 + 13% HST
101-300 $59.17 + 13% HST $29.56 + 13% HST
Food and Beverage
The hotel should be aware of your expected attendance
fourteen days prior to your social function. This number
should not exceed the room maximums. The attendance
guarantee must be finalized prior to 72 business hours
before your function. If no guarantee is provided, you
will be charged for the expected number of guests or
the actual number served if greater.
For parties of 8 guests or more we do require that
a set menu be selected consisting of one starter, up
to two entrees and one dessert.
All Food and Beverage will incur the following taxes:
13% HST and a 15% Gratuity
Alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with the
Liquor Control Board of Ontario. Hours are Monday to
Sunday from 11:00am to 1:00am.
With the exception of wedding cakes, Langdon Hall will
be the sole supplier of all food and beverage items.
Langdon Hall has an extensive wine list offering a wide
selection to choose from. If preferred, we will attempt
to locate desired wines not found on the wine list and
bill at customary beverage charges.
Social Function Space
Ceremony rehearsals may be arranged with your catering
contact. Please note that rehearsal areas may not always
be set-up as per your final ceremony arrangements.
Langdon Hall reserves the right to change function
rooms assigned, should the number attending the function
differ from the original number quoted. The hotel will
then provide the best alternate room suited for your
group’s size.
In some cases, a minimum event cost will apply to the
private dining rooms.
Additional Equipment or Rentals
Any equipment that is required that Langdon Hall is
unable to provide, may be rented however must be confirmed
with the Catering Department prior to the event. The
payment of rental equipment will be the sole responsibility
of the client. Should Langdon Hall rent equipment at
the request of the host there will be a 15% service
charge added to the rental costs. We are more than happy
to suggest reliable suppliers who can assist you with
your needs should you require assistance.
Photographs
Interior and Exterior photographs are allowed with a
contracted wedding event at the hotel. Outdoor and Indoor
photograph options will be at the discretion of Langdon
Hall and must be approved prior to function date. No
photos are permitted at the front of the Main House
or on the front lawn.
Flowers
Langdon Hall does not provide any customized candles
or flowers for your event. You are welcome to confirm
your own arrangements, as we do not have any exclusive
partners. The Catering team will assist in the receiving
of your flowers and following up on your behalf with
arrangements.
Guestroom Rates
Langdon Hall is pleased to offer overnight accommodations
to guests attending your wedding. Room rates will fluctuate
seasonally, so please consult your Catering contact
to confirm a preferred rate for the dates surrounding
your celebration.
Room reservations are handled by your Catering contact.
We guarantee our guestrooms for a 4:00pm check-in and
our check-out time is 12noon.
In the event that a guest must cancel their reservation,
they must do so 72 hours prior to their arrival date
with no penalty. Reservations reserved by the host,
cancelled within 7 days and not resold, will be billed
to the Master Account.
Deposits
Upon booking we will prepare a written estimate of the
value of your function on a best efforts basis. To confirm
a wedding celebration at Langdon Hall, we do require
a deposit in the amount of 30% of the event estimate.
The remaining total amount of this estimate is then
spread over 2 payments within the months leading up
to the event date. The total of the written estimate
is due four weeks prior to the function. All prepayment
deposits will be credited to your master account. All
final charges are to be invoiced. BALANCE OWING FOR
THIS EVENT WILL BE RECONCILED BY THE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
DEPARTMENT WITHIN THREE TO FIVE BUSINESS DAYS OF YOUR
DEPARTURE. THIS OUTSTANDING BALANCE WILL BE CHARGED
TO YOUR CREDIT CARD FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAYS AFTER INVOICE
DATE.
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
