On-Site Activities
Here are some of the on-site activities you can enjoy during breakout sessions:
The Exercise Room provides cardio-vascular workout as well as free weight equipment. A personal trainer can be arranged. As a relaxation exercise, a Yoga instructor can provide instruction.
Outdoor Pool Area is open from May until Late September
Croquet Lawn: A great way to introduce meeting participants to each other is through informal activities. A game of croquet during a cocktail reception is a wonderful ‘mixer’. We can arrange a Jazz trio to provide entertainment while the game is played. Available May until Late September.
Kitchen Vegetable Garden: Langdon Hall has the most impressive garden. Vegetables abound under the close eye of our Head Gardener. In season, we would be pleased to arrange a garden tour. You and your guests will have an informative and fun afternoon under the sun. Additional Cost.
Wine Tasting: Our Sommeliers love to chat about wines. An hour tasting and discussion can be arranged highlighting specific wine regions. This is an ideal activity to plan just before dinner instead of a cocktail reception. If you would like an evening activity, why not select an after dinner port tasting. Additional Cost.
Truffle Making: Join our Pastry Chef and discover the art of truffle making. You will discuss the basics of truffle making including the different origins of the truffle and create several different methods. A take home package is also included. Additional Cost.
Walking and Biking Trails: Throughout the property there are 12 kilometers of woodland trails. For our guests to use, mountain bikes (4) are available to discover the trails. Trail maps can be found in each of the guest rooms or at the reception desk.
Spa Services: A morning or afternoon at the Spa can be arranged as a meeting break. A variety of treatments are available allowing up to 10 treatments at the same time. This activity if scheduled as a group break is ideal for meetings of less than 15 people. A larger group may have to arrive at different times. Additional Cost.
Team Building: Frontier Team Building is an industry trailblazer, guiding teams to a new frontier in effectiveness and positive energy. Our fast-paced and fun team-building programs are aimed at fostering effective team relationships, adding energy to your meeting or conference and helping to make your experience at Langdon Hall unforgettable. Casino or Poker Night: Looking for an after dinner fun activity?. Caino nights come with experienced dealers who will teach your group how to play each game-Craps, Black Jack, Poker, Roulette and even the Slots.

The Town of St. Jacob’s
This quaint Mennonite community offers some wonderful shopping opportunities with a Flea and Farmer’s Market open Thursday and Saturday in addition to the various boutiques along Main Street. Traveling distance to St. Jacob’s is less than 35 kilometers or 20 minutes.

Group Bike Tours
Steve Bauer Bike Tours is determined to provide you with a fun and unique experience. They will bring all bikes and equipment to Langdon Hall and begin and end the tour at the property. Any type of bike tour can be worked out according to the group’s time schedule, fitness level, adventurous mood or special wishes. Your tour can include easy off-road riding on farm lands and through beautiful forests or challenging road-riding up and down the escarpment.

Grand River Troutfitters
Professional and certified instructors/guides will teach an entire course on the World Class Grand River Brown Trout Fishery. For a genuine learning experience with only two students per instructor, learn the art of fly-fishing. Transportation from the Troutfitters to the River is arranged.

Hiking: Take a walk in Carolinian Canada
We have many choices for a two hour, 5 km, walk in the area of Langdon Hall. Langdon guest favourite- is a pleasant walk in the Bannister Lake, F.W.R. Dickson Wilderness Area. The trail features a waterfowl viewing tour, a Carolinian hardwood forest, chickdees that will eat from our hand and a tall grass prairie. The pace is moderate and designed to explore a bit of this special part of Ontario. The trail is good and a pair of walking shoes will be about all you will need. The guide, Greg Vincent, is a long time hike leader for the Bruce Trail and Grand Valley Trails Associations and the U.S. Sierra Club. St. Jacob's & Mennonite Community Tour
Your tour guide will take you through the countryside rich in mennonite culture. Tours may include a shopping in the town of St. Jacob's, a visit to a mennonite farm where lunch may be enjoyed, and view a demonstration of quilt making, and a visit to the last covered bridge in Ontario. Perfect for spouses not attending the meeting or a group not meeting everyday.
Whistle Bear Private Golf Club
As a guest of Langdon Hall you may gain access to this newly private golf club. Whistle Bear is situated on 232 acres of land in the Township of North Dumphries. This beautiful championship links-style golf course is neighbour to Langdon Hall.
