On Thursday November
19th ten of Toronto’s most celebrated chefs battled
it out to see who would be named the city’s best
chef during the Toronto Gold Medal Plates.

Each chef serving their signature dish to the 700+ guests
attending the event. Celebrated in six cities across
Canada, Gold Medal Plates is a competition to crown
a gold, silver and bronze medal culinary team in each
city, and subsequently nation-wide.
Langdon Hall’s Chef Jonathan Gushue was seen
as a wild card entre, with famed chefs Mark McEwen and
David Lee seen as favorites to win this years competition.
Chef
Gushue’s Silver Medal came less than a percentage
point from winning gold.
Chef Gushue and his team put together a tantalizing
dish showing off his creative flare and using local
ingredients including those from the Langdon Hall Kitchen
Garden. Serving a Torchon of Rougié Foie Gras
and Pig Cheek over du Puy Lentils, Lobster Pudding and
