Simply Enchanting.

A garden wonderland, Langdon Hall boasts two hundred acres of Carolinian Forest, manicured lawns and cultivated displays of colour. From the perennial, cloister and herb gardens to the water garden to the woods, fields and walking trails, Langdon Hall is alive with flora and fauna.

The Cloister Garden greets visitors immediately on arrival. In contrast with the broad sweeping lawns of the approach to Langdon Hall, the Cloister Garden features informal borders bursting with colour from April until November. Spring bulbs and bold groupings of modern repeat-blooming shrub roses complement a vast array of herbaceous perennials.

The picturesque formal water garden, filled with waterlilies and Chinese geese, lies beneath the windows of the elegant main dining room. The view over the main gardens is of manicured green lawns, stone urns overflowing with seasonal flowers, and a backdrop of lush pine trees.

The owners are particularly proud of the century-old Camperdown Elm, gnarled and wind-bent, which stands guard over the herb garden fragrant with thyme and rosemary, sage and sweet basil.

Evergreens and flowering trees lend all season interest. Colour combinations in the borders are planned in harmony with the tranquil ambience projected at Langdon Hall. Flower colours in pink, lavender, blue, violet and crimson with contrasting yellow, cream and white are used freely in different combinations.
